| EMPASYS™ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
|
What are the EmpaSys™ Electronic Financial Solutions?
The EmpaSys™ solution is a web-based bill payment, pre-paid airtime vending, pre-paid debit card loading, and international money transfer program that allows payments to billers, providers, or loved ones overseas to be made at an EmpaSys™ payment agent's location.
-
How does the EmpaSys™ Solution work?
The EmpaSys™ payment location is a member of a national network of participating merchants. These merchant locations accept cash payments and pay those customer's bills, purchase prepaid airtime minutes or load those customer's pre-paid debit cards thereby saving the customer time and money. They can also transfer funds to another country on that customer's behalf. By being a member of the network, customer’s payments taken at agent locations are delivered to the proper recipient safely and quickly!
-
How much does the service cost?
Most payment agent locations will charge a nominal transaction fee for handling these payments or transfers for customers.
-
Which bill payment billers can customers pay?
There are tens of thousands of billers that are participants in our network. The chances are great that the businesses that customers send their bill payments to are members of this network. Nevertheless, this system will pay ANY bill for ANY qualified Biller.
-
How quickly will customer’s payments arrive at their location?
In most cases utilizing the EmpaSys™ electronic payment process, the payment will arrive within two banking days. Immediate payments may be made is specific cases, such as when purchasing prepaid airtime pins, loading pre-paid debit cards or when transferring money internationally.
-
What is the cut-off time for daily processing?
Daily processing occurs at 2:00pm CST. Transactions that are posted after that will be processed on the next business day. Any transactions that are posted after 2:00pm CST on Friday will be processed at 2:00pm CST on Monday.
-
What if a bill payment biller is not a participant in the network?
If the biller that a customer wants to pay is not a participant in the EmpaSys™ network, the payment will not arrive as fast as it would if they were participating. Instead of being sent as an electronic payment, a paper money order will be printed and sent to the biller through the mail on the customer's behalf. EmpaSys™ will make every effort to ensure that the biller receives the customer's payment as soon as possible.
